The sector demands highly skilled foreign workers who understand the precision and quality required for world-class maritime operations. Our marine shipyard recruitment services connect you with experienced migrant workers who contribute to Singapore's reputation as a premier maritime hub.

Sector Outlook and Maritime Excellence

Singapore's strategic location and advanced shipyard facilities continue to attract major maritime projects from around the world. With the revitalization of port industries (Tuas Port of the future), the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore is driving the sectors development.

The sector shows resilience and growth, with ongoing investments in offshore platforms, vessel conversions, and advanced maritime technologies. There are many spillover industries such as Dredging, Reclamation and Port Maintenace, Tank and Vessel Cleaning as well as shipbreaking and recycling. This sustained activity creates consistent demand for skilled marine foreign workers across various specializations.

Work Permit Quota Limits

The marine shipyard sector operates with a quota of 3.5 foreign workers for every local employee earning the Local Qualifying Salary.

Unlike other sectors, there are no maximum employment period restrictions for Malaysian and NAS workers.

Precision fabrication and outfitting work requires specialized skills. We provide foreign workers experienced in marine welding, complex piping systems, specialized painting and coating applications, and complete vessel outfitting.
